Named by the Greek poet Homer “Thebes of the Thousand Gates” , Luxor was the center of power of almost 1500 years. Luxor which means in Arabic “The Palaces” reflects its rich array of magnificent temples and tombs. During the 7th century B.C., 2700 years ago, the Assyrians invaded Egypt and left the city of Thebes in ruin. Today “invaders” are visitors who frequently arrive on Nile Cruise ships to view the remnants of truly magnificent civilization.

Within the confines of Luxor are some of the grandest monuments of the ancient world. On the East Bank are the splendid Temples of Luxor and Karnak besides the Luxor Museum, which houses an impressive collection of local antiquities.

An overwhelming array of complex gateways, ruined temples, ancient chapels, gigantic columns and extraordinary tribute to the ancient Egyptian, On the West Bank are the Valley of the Kings and Valley of Queens, Hatshepsout temple and many other profusion of historic and artistic wealth.

We start our Excursion to the Necropolis of Thebes by crossing the Nile to the western bank Visit to Valley of Kings including many tombs of various Dynasties
Followed by El Deir El Bahari "Hatshepsut Temple, The only women had ruled Egypt as a pharaoh"
Then continue to visit Valley of the queens
On the return journey, stop at the Colossi of Memnon which are two gigantic sitting statues representing Amenopis III facing the Nile.

Full Day Excursion
East bank "Karnak Temple & Luxor Temple"
We start our Excursion to Luxor Temple to see its courtyard and the granite statues of Ramses the Great
Then continue Proceed by carriage or bus to Karnak, which is a serious of temples built in different reigns. Starting by the Avenue of Sphinxes visit the Unfinished Propylon, the Hypostyle Hall with it's 134 gigantic columns, the Obelisks of Queen Hatchepsut and Tutomosis III, the temple of Amon adorned with lotus and papyrus designs, the Granite Scabrous of Amenophis III and the Sacred Lake.

Full Day Excursion
Denderah " Hathor Temple" and Abydos "Osiris Temple"
We start our Excursion by driveing to Abydos, where the ancient Egyptians believed the god Egypt for you (lord of the underworld) to be buried. The paintings of the Gods and Pharaohs on the walls of the Osiris Temple at Abydos are among the most beautifully preserved in Egypt.
Then continue to Denderah to visit the Temple of Hathor, goddess of love and joy. One of the best preserved temples in all of Egypt which was built by Ptolemy 8th & Queen Cleopatra 2nd Hathor Temple, with its sacred lake and famous astrological roof, is a delicately beautiful structure.

Over Day
Trip to Cairo "By Air"
We start our over day tour early morning, Transfer to Luxor airport for your domestic flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, you will be met at Cairo airport & start your day tour by visiting, The Great Pyramids of Giza " Cheops, Chephren & Mykerions ", the Sphinx and The Valley Temple.
Followed by a visit to The Egyptian Antiquities Museum (one of the most famous museums allover the world, filled by magnificent collection of antiques," Mummies, Sarcophagi and fabulous treasures of king TUT's tomb)
Then continue to visit to The Citadel (it comprises a number of important monuments which are; The Mosque of Suleiman Pasha, The Alabaster Mosque, Joeh's Walls, Mohamed Ali Pasha Palace & provides a panoramic view of Cairo from Moqattam hills).
Transfer back to Cairo airport for your return domestic flight back to Luxor Upon arrival, you will be met & Transferred back to your hotel.

Sound and Light show at the Karnak Temple
Referred to as the world’s largest open air museum, Luxor, known as Thebes in ancient times, is home to some of the most spectacular monuments of the ancient world. Perhaps one of the most astounding areas in Luxor is the temple complex of Karnak. The largest temple complex ever built by man, Karnak represents the combined achievement of many generations of ancient builders.
The show starts with a historical introduction covering the birth of the great city of Thebes and erection of the Karnak temple, one of the most famous temples in the world.
The show also narrates the glorious achievements of some great Pharaohs like Amon.
The Spectators listen to a magnificent and poetic description of the artistic treasures and great legacy, Which the Karnak temple encloses
